Vacuum Service & Sales Assistant
We are a small, family-owned vacuum shop looking for a dependable team member to join our growing business. This is a hands-on role focused on vacuum repairs, troubleshooting, and customer service. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist with vacuum repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing.
- Learn and assist with in-home service calls and central vacuum installations.
- Help customers select vacuums, parts, and accessories based on their needs.
- Answer phones, schedule repairs, and process sales transactions.
- Provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain a clean, organized shop and keep inventory stocked.
- Assist with deliveries, pickups, and handling vacuum equipment.
- Support daily shop operations and take on additional responsibilities as skills develop.
Requirements
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn.
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable working with customers.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn our point-of-sale system.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Valid driver's licence required.
- Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous repair, sales, or customer service experience is an asset.
- Vacuum or appliance repair experience is an asset but not required.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
