Building moving is a unique career path offering the opportunity to learn and experience a large variety of construction-related skills. Skills employed range from carpentry, machinery operation (backhoes, skid steers, forklifts), structural steel working, engineering/problem solving, hydraulics, escorting of oversize loads, traffic management, and many more!
As part of a crew, you will be responsible for:
- Construction of supporting structures (installation of supporting beams, construction of piers and cribbing)
- Participating in building lifting operations (connection of hydraulic jacking systems, jacking of buildings)
- Loading of required materials
- Maintain a safety awareness and work in compliance with applicable health and safety regulations and policies

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- The ability to commute to Chesterville, Ontario
- Drivers license in good standing
- Previous construction experience (an asset)
- (Asset)Relevant construction certifications, including but not limited to:
- (Asset)Forklift certificate, First Aid / CPR certification
- (Asset)Working at Heights certification
- (Asset)Confined Spaces certification
- (Asset)Book 7 certification
- (Asset)Superload Escort certification.
- Availability for full time work, including some weekends
- Good physical fitness, ability to lift and carry heavy objects regularly ±50 lbs (required)
- Grace under pressure: the ability to remain calm, composed, and decisive even when in challenging situations.
- Awareness of surroundings: consistent monitoring of the work site, construction equipment, and fellow workers.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
