We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook/Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
- Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
- Oversee food preparation, handling, and storage in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage food inventory, order supplies as needed, and minimize waste
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety standards
- Assist in training new team members on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and service protocols
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings
- Serve as a leader in the kitchen, demonstrating professionalism and fostering teamwork among staff
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant setting
- Supervising experience or team management skills preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and handling procedures
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Familiarity with restaurant management operations is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is highly desirable
