Job description
WestCana is looking for an experienced cook to join our team at Sun Pointe Village. The successful candidate must have:
Experience with volume in food preparation and service.
Level 1 food safe certification.
Ability to read and communicate in English.
Ability to organize work and work under extreme time constraints.
Cook Responsibilities:
Works with the departmental leadership team, maintaining or exceeding facility quality standards and special dietary requirements.
Prepares food that meets or exceeds the appearance, taste, and quality expectations of the residents, families and clients.
Prepares and/or monitors the preparation of daily and special event menu plans to ensure individual dietary care.
Implements and maintains inventory control systems to maximize savings and minimize waste.
Ensuring all phases of food preparation meets or exceeds health and safety standards.
All safety rules and safe work procedures are adhered to at all times.

Pay: $27.56-$28.01 per hour
Experience:
- Culinary: 1 year (preferred)
