Job Overview:
Blue Thunder Construction Ltd is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Worker to support the upkeep and renovation of residential apartment complexes and commercial properties. This role involves working across multiple sites, including townhouses, offices, warehouses, and apartment units.
Key Responsibilities:
- carpentry, including framing, finishing, and deck construction/repair
- Install and repair drywall, trim, and baseboards
- Replace or repair doors, locks, hinges, and hardware
- Install and maintain flooring (laminate, vinyl, tile)
- Perform basic plumbing repairs (faucets, toilets, leaks, drains)
- Conduct minor electrical work (light fixtures, switches, outlets – where permitted)
- Repair and prepare surfaces and painting them
- Install and repair cabinets, shelving, and fixtures
- Replace or repair windows, screens, and weatherstripping
- Perform caulking and sealing to prevent moisture damage
- Assist with appliance installation and minor repairs
- Maintain and repair common areas (hallways, stairwells, offices)
- Perform seasonal maintenance such as snow removal, salting, lawn mowing and basic landscaping
- Identify maintenance issues and report larger repairs requiring specialized contractors
- Travel between job sites as needed to complete assigned tasks
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant maintenance or construction experience
- carpentry experience required, including framing, finishing, and deck construction/repair
- Strong skills in general repairs, painting, and basic renovation work
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
- You must have basic reliable tools of your own
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (required)
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
