Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Hockey Scout in the Province of British Columbia to join our Scouting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and evaluating emerging hockey talent, building relationships with prospects, and supporting the recruitment process. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of future hockey stars while utilizing your skills in research, communication, and talent sourcing. The position requires a passion for hockey, strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research to identify promising hockey players across various leagues and regions.
- Engage in cold calling and outreach efforts to establish relationships with prospects, coaches, and agents.
- Evaluate player skills through video analysis, game footage review, and in-person scouting when possible.
- Coordinate interviews and assessments with potential recruits, ensuring a smooth recruitment process.
- Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to develop lead generation strategies for scouting new talent.
Skills
- Strong communication skills essential for interviewing prospects and negotiating terms effectively.
- Proficiency in research techniques and data analysis related to athlete scouting.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail when managing multiple candidates and data sources.

- This is volunteer position with no set salary. Team will cover cost if asked to travel outside your zone.
