Reporting to the Wiener Plant Supervisor, the Wiener Plant Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting the designated machine in a safe and proper manner, monitoring for mechanical problems or hazards, and conducting or arranging for maintenance as required.
This is an existing position in the company.

Shift: Tuesday-Friday- 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm / Saturday- 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
This position will include training on other shifts as part of it's onboarding process

What you will be doing:

Operating equipment including smokehouses, casing machines, packaging and other Ready To Eat food processing equipment.

Performing assigned tasks in the designated department to ensure that the equipment is maintained and operates at optimal performance. Completes other department specific tasks as applicable.

Troubleshooting and repairing equipment when necessary; dismantling, cleaning, and reassembling equipment as needed for processing.

Working closely with Department and Maintenance Supervisor, providing feedback as to how equipment is performing.

Setting up equipment to required standards to ensure that all products manufactured in the department meet Company and customer requirements.

Accurately and completely record the monitoring tasks in the related department records, including equipment cleaning and down time reports.

Maintaining equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition, according to GMPs.
What you will bring:
-
Experience with machine operation, including adjusting, setting up, and simple preventative maintenance.

Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc. is a strong asset.

Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential;

High School Diploma.
