Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization and records Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our operations, ensuring smooth workflow, and providing exceptional service to our clients. This position requires a strong understanding of the sterilization process, and experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in dentistry would be beneficial. We are currently looking for a 4 day per week position, Monday (Oak Bay) and Wednesday to Friday (West Shore).
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the clinical team, ensuring efficient clinical operations.
- Clean, organize and sterilize instruments.
- Assist in managing inventory.
- Manage patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist in the preparation of treatment rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is ready for use.
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing inquiries and providing information regarding services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office environment.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance patient care and streamline processes.
- Utilize CAD software for various tasks as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the practice.
- Obtain patient records such as intra-oral scans and photographs
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental office or in a similar role within a healthcare environment is beneficial.
- Familiarity with dental terminology is a plus.
- Proficiency in using dental software or ability to quickly learn new software.
- Experience with dental assisting is advantageous but not mandatory.
