Company Overview
Glass Showers & More has been a trusted provider of custom glass and mirror products since 1978, serving home builders, contractors, and homeowners in our region. With in-house fabrication capabilities and a dedicated team of experts, we deliver high-quality, customized glass solutions with industry-leading turnaround times.
The role
This is a phone-first role. You'll be reaching out to two groups:
- Past customers we've already done work for — checking in, seeing what else they need, and getting us back on site
- New leads who have shown interest or fit our service area
The goal on every call is simple: book a measurement or get us the chance to quote the job. You are not closing sales or talking price — you're opening doors and putting appointments on the calendar.
What your day looks like
- 2–3 hours of outbound calling from a call list we provide, working through it methodically
- Responding to callbacks, texts, and emails quickly during business hours — this is just as important as the outbound calls. When someone calls or texts back, they're interested, and a fast reply is often the difference between booking the job and losing it. Our expectation is a response within [15–30] minutes during business hours.
- Logging everything in Salesforce — every call, outcome, note, and follow-up date. If it isn't in the system, it didn't happen.
- Booking measurements and quote appointments onto our schedule and handing the details to our team.
Compensation
We pay a real base plus real upside — you're not commission-only here.
- $20/hour for your scheduled hours
- $40 bonus for every measurement or quote appointment you book that goes ahead
- 2% of all work each customer books with us in the 12 months after you bring them in
That last piece matters. Glass customers come back — a shower door today, a window next spring, a storefront the year after. When you bring someone in and take care of them, you keep earning from that relationship for a full year, not just on the first appointment.
Remote — but you'll start with us in person
The day-to-day work is done from home. Before that starts, you'll spend your first [week / few days] at our [City] shop getting to know the business: meeting the office staff and installers you'll be handing appointments to, seeing the products we actually make and install, walking through how a job goes from a phone call to a finished install, and learning our service area.
We do this because you can't sell an appointment for work you've never seen. Customers ask real questions — what a frameless shower door costs roughly, whether we can match existing glass, how long an install takes. You'll answer far better having stood in the shop than having read a script.
After that, expect to come in [occasionally — e.g. once a month, or when we add a new product line] to stay current.
What we provide
- A dedicated business phone number for calling and texting (works for both)
- A company email address
- A Salesforce login, with training on how we use it
- A call list, scripts, and talking points to start from
What we're looking for
- Comfortable on the phone. Warm, clear, and easy to talk to. Much of this list is people we've already worked with, so we want you to sound like a familiar face — not a telemarketer.
- Thick skin. Plenty of calls go nowhere. The right person doesn't take it personally and dials the next number.
- Fast and reliable on follow-up. Available and responsive throughout the business day, even though the calling block itself is short.
- Organized. You'll be trusted to keep the CRM clean without someone checking over your shoulder.
- Self-directed. This is remote work. Nobody is watching you dial.
Nice to have (not required)
- Previous outbound calling, appointment setting, inside sales, or customer service experience
- Experience with Salesforce or another CRM
- Any background in glass, construction, trades, home services, or renovation
Requirements
- Quiet workspace with reliable high-speed internet
- Within commuting distance of Richmond Hill / Markham and able to come onsite for initial training and occasional visits
- Available consistently during [8am–4pm, Mon–Fri]
- Legally able to work in Canada
