We are looking for a part-time sales associate to join our team at Pet Valu in the Hollinger Court. We are looking for someone who has flexible availability (evenings & weekends). Having previous retail experience and being able to come in on short notice is an asset.
Job Overview:
As a Part-Time Sales Associate you will use your knowledge and experience to help Pet Parents find the right nutrition and other solutions for their pets. You will be part of a team of passionate Animal Care Expert's, and enjoy the perks of helping Pet Parents every day. What you do:
- Help customers, engage with them in providing service(s) and product suggestions
- Put customers through the POS (point of sale)
- Carry outs
- Prepare online orders
- Restock shelves/freezers with pet food and litter (weighing up to 50lbs)
- Clean the dog wash area, wash/fold towels
- Clean and feed the adoption area (this includes litter box duties)
- Sweep, dust and other general store maintenance functions
- Other duties and tasks as required
What you bring:
- Passion for animals
- Positive and friendly personality with strong customer service skills
- 2 years of retail or customer service experience is an asset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
- Ability to have reliable means of transportation to and from the store
