Overview
We are seeking experienced B-Train Drivers and Owner Operators to join our transportation team. This role involves operating large commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently and safely from Vancouver, BC, to Cache Creek, BC, and from Vancouver, BC, to Whitehorse, YT. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle heavy equipment and freight logistics. Whether driving company-owned trucks or managing your own fleet, this position offers a vital role in our logistics operations, supporting timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards.
Duties
- Safely operate B-Train trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles to transport freight over long and short distances
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Manage freight documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to maintain vehicle performance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and cargo details
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for B-Train operation
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with heavy equipment or freight hauling
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair skills is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards in transportation industry
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently under various conditions
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and vehicle maintenance records
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of goods across our network, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability in all transportation activities.
Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
