The Aventus Group is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (CPA Preferred) to oversee the financial operations of our growing portfolio. This is a hands on leadership role for a highly organized financial professional who can provide accurate reporting, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial oversight across multiple companies and business units
- Preparation and review of weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports
- Cash flow management, forecasting, and working capital planning
- Margin and profitability analysis
- Inventory control, audit procedures, and shrinkage monitoring
- Payroll oversight and review
- GST/PST compliance and reporting review
- Budget development and financial forecasting
- Identification of theft, fraud, leakage, and operational inefficiencies
- Bank, lender, and financing reporting
- Corporate structure review and tax planning support
- Review and approval of bookkeeping and accounting functions
- Support ownership and senior management with financial analysis and strategic planning
- Assist with acquisitions, growth initiatives, and business integration projects
Qualifications
- CPA designation preferred
- Minimum 5 years of senior accounting, controller, or finance management experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
- Experience in hospitality, retail, inventory-based, or multi-entity businesses is an asset
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $95,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
