Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Transmission Rebuilder to join our team in Ottawa. In this role, you will be responsible for the complete teardown, diagnostic inspection, cleaning, and rebuilding of automotive transmissions. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude and a proven track record of diagnosing and remanufacturing complex transmission components to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Disassemble Transmissions: Safely and systematically take apart transmission units to prepare them for inspection.
- Inspect Components: Thoroughly examine internal parts for failure, wear, and tear,
- accurately identifying which components need to be replaced.
- Clean Parts: Properly clean and prep transmission parts and casings using industry-
- standard equipment and solutions.
- Rebuild & Remanufacture: Reassemble and remanufacture transmissions to exact specifications, ensuring all new and existing components meet quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Transmission Rebuilder, Automotive Mechanic, or a similar mechanical role.
- Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to pinpoint mechanical and component failures.
- Familiarity with the tools, machinery, and safety protocols required for transmission remanufacturing.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting daily production timelines.
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
