Position Overview
Saskatoon Minor Football is seeking a dynamic, multi-talented, and driven professional to serve as the Director of Brand, Partnerships, and Football Operations. This individual will be the voice, visual storyteller, and digital architect of SMF, responsible for elevating our brand profile, engaging our community, and driving organizational growth. This is a unique role that bridges creative marketing with sports business development and event operations. The successful candidate will manage all digital platforms, lead marketing strategies for SMF programming, secure and maintain corporate sponsorships, and work directly on-site to ensure our leagues and programs run seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities
1. Content Creation & Digital Media Management
- Media Production: Capture, edit, and produce high-quality visual content (photography, video, graphics) showcasing SMF athletes, coaches, and community impact.
- Social Media Strategy: Manage and grow SMF’s social media channels Develop and execute digital marketing strategies that increase registrations, sponsorship value, social engagement, website traffic, and community awareness (Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, TikTok), creating engaging daily content, promotional campaigns, and real-time game-day coverage.
- Storytelling: Write compelling articles, press releases, and human-interest stories that highlight the achievements and values of the SMF community.
2. Website Design & Content Management
- Website Administration: Serve as the primary webmaster for the SMF website, ensuring all information is accurate, accessible, and up to date.
- UI/UX Improvement: Continually optimize website design, navigation, and user experience for parents, players, coaches, and partners.
- Registration Integration: Manage digital content related to program registrations, schedules, rosters, and organizational announcements.
3. Program Promotion & Marketing
- Growth Campaigns: Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to drive player registration, camp attendance, and fan engagement across all SMF age groups and divisions.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all digital and physical marketing assets meet SMF brand guidelines and maintain a professional, cohesive image.
- Community Outreach: Coordinate grassroots marketing efforts, school visits, and local event activations to introduce new families to youth football.
4. Community Partnerships & Corporate Sponsorships
- Sponsorship Acquisition: Actively identify, pitch, and secure new local and regional corporate sponsors and partners to generate revenue for SMF programming. Generate sponsorship revenue through the acquisition, retention, and growth of corporate partnerships aligned with organizational goals.
- Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for current partners, ensuring all sponsorship deliverables (signage, digital recognition, event activation) are fulfilled with excellence.
- Partnership Innovation: Create modern, high-value sponsorship packages, capitalizing on SMF’s digital media footprint and community reach.
5. Program & Football Operations Support
- On-Site Execution: Assist the executive leadership team with day-to-day operations during leagues, tournaments, camps, and special events.
- Logistics & Admin: Support equipment distribution, game-day scheduling, venue preparation, and communications with coaches and volunteers.
- Adaptability: Bring a "team-first" attitude to the field, stepping in to solve operational challenges during peak football seasons. Bring a solutions-focused mindset and collaborative leadership style, stepping in where needed to overcome challenges, support stakeholders, and ensure operational excellence across all SMF programs and events.
Qualifications & Skills
What you will bring:
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in sports marketing, communications, digital media, or athletic administration. Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, sponsorship sales, business development, sports administration, nonprofit leadership, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern content management systems (CMS) and website design templates. High proficiency with creative suites (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or equivalent video/photo editing software).
- Sales & Relationship Skills: Demonstrated success or strong aptitude for business development, sales pitching, and maintaining corporate relationships.
- Football Knowledge: A strong understanding of or passion for amateur football and the local sports landscape in Saskatchewan is highly preferred.
- Flexibility: Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, to align with youth football schedules and game days.
- Valid Driver's License: Required for travel to local events and facilities around Saskatoon.

Pay: $55,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
