Position Overview
Harbour Hill is seeking a professional, organized, and service-driven Evening Lead Server (ELS) to oversee dining room operations during evening service. This leadership role ensures exceptional service standards, smooth team coordination, and a safe, welcoming dining experience for our community members.
The ideal candidate is confident leading a team, knowledgeable in food and beverage service, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Smart Serve Certification (required)
- Availability for evening shifts and weekends
- Previous serving experience (leadership experience preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to coach and motivate team members
- Professional and positive attitude
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the team to ensure clear and effective communication throughout the shift
- Assign dining room sections
- Conduct pre-service meetings
- Assign and rotate closing duties
- Communicate any changes to service or menu items
· Ensure the team is fully prepared for service
- Confirm coffee, tea, water, creamers, butters, and all accompaniments are set and ready
· Address any setup issues before guests arrive
· Oversee and serve wine and beer during dinner service (Smart Serve required)
· Monitor, record, and communicate inventory shortages (fridge, dry storage, bar supplies, etc.)
· Conduct quality checks with community members and ensure feedback is communicated to the kitchen
· Provide constructive feedback and real-time coaching to team members
· Ensure all closing procedures are completed according to company standards
· Verify kitchen and service areas are properly cleaned
· Confirm doors are secured and duties are completed before departure
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.65-$20.00 per hour
