As we continue to grow across Canada, we are looking for a Team Leader – Underwriting Support recognized for their motivating leadership, operational rigor, and ability to develop talent.
Your Role
Reporting to the Director, Operations, you will oversee and support a team of underwriting assistants located across multiple Canadian provinces. You will contribute to operational optimization, achievement of service standards, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Motivate, coach, and support the team in achieving objectives
- Oversee daily operations and manage priorities and workload volumes
- Ensure compliance with service standards, KPIs, and operational quality expectations
- Participate in performance management, employee development, and evaluation processes
- Collaborate on the improvement and standardization of business processes
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and talent development initiatives
- Provide underwriting support during peak periods, as needed
Desired Profile
- 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial insurance
- 2 to 3 years of team management experience
- Experience managing employees located across multiple provinces
- Positive leadership style, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage priorities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability
- Comfortable working with technology and in evolving environments
