Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of freight operations, commercial driving regulations, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. This position requires a commitment to safety and professionalism while on the road.
Responsibilities
- Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents or delays.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles as needed.
Skills
- Proficient in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and logistics operations.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on trucks.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, dispatchers, and team members.
