Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide high-quality care to individuals in need of assistance within their homes or care facilities. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients by delivering personalized support tailored to their unique needs. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions for signs of changes or concerns
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Support clients with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals
- Follow care plans and report any significant observations or changes in client condition
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings is preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia care is highly valued
- Knowledge of medication administration and safety protocols
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and respect for client dignity
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or relevant healthcare training is an asset but not mandatory
- Must be reliable, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional client-centered care
Pay: $18.03-$20.00 per hour
