About the role
We're looking for a self-directed RPN who thrives with minimal supervision and moves efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role combines community outreach with clinic-based support. It starts as a part-time morning contract — approximately 20-30 hours per week — with real potential for increased hours and a transition to permanent employment for the right person.
What you'll do
- Travel a daily morning route to partner shelter and supportive housing sites to support medication administration for patients in addiction treatment programs
- Provide clinical and administrative support for clinic patients — intake, monitoring, follow-up coordination
- Perform point-of-care testing (POCT) as directed
- Administer injections within RPN scope of practice
- Complete clinical documentation accurately and on time
- Communicate effectively with pharmacists, prescribers, and community site staff
What we're looking for
- Current RPN registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Valid Ontario driver's licence and reliable personal vehicle — travel between sites is required daily
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time with minimal oversight
- Efficient and organized in a high-volume, community-facing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills — you'll work with individuals facing complex social and health challenges and must bring patience, discretion, and professionalism
- Experience in harm reduction, addiction medicine, or community nursing is a strong asset

- Sites include shelter, supportive housing, and clinic locations across Kitchener
- Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience
