Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Customer Experience (Retail) Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service, assisting with sales, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and eager to help customers find solutions while promoting our products and services. This position offers an engaging environment where your communication skills and sales abilities will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and store success.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries in a professional manner
- Provide product information and recommend solutions tailored to customer needs
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and cash management
- Handle cash, credit, and returns in accordance with store policies
- Upsell products and services to enhance customer experience and meet sales goals
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas and sales displays
- Process payments efficiently using POS systems and ensure proper receipt issuance
- Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards
- Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Label products and orders clearly to ensure smooth inventory and delivery
- Address customer concerns promptly, escalating issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction
- Support team members in achieving store objectives through collaborative efforts
- Perform additional responsibilities not listed above as required by evolving business needs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset
- Experience with daycare and school supply products considered an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate items
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and independently when required
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
