Join the Launch of Calgary's Newest Italian Dining Experience
We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and driven Executive Chef to lead the opening of an exciting new Italian Panuozzo concept in Calgary's Beltline.
This is an opportunity to be part of a restaurant from day one, helping build the kitchen culture, develop the team, and execute a food program focused on quality, consistency, and genuine hospitality. Working alongside our Culinary Director, you will play a key leadership role in bringing the concept to life while maintaining exceptional operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all back-of-house operations and daily kitchen execution.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a high-performing kitchen team.
- Foster a positive, professional, and accountable kitchen culture.
- Ensure consistent execution of all recipes, plating standards, and operating procedures.
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness, and organization.
- Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and supplier relationships.
- Control food cost through effective purchasing, portion control, waste reduction, and inventory
- management.
- Build and manage labor schedules while maintaining productivity targets.
- Monitor labor costs and adjust staffing levels based on business needs.
- Ensure compliance with Alberta Health Services regulations and all food safety standards.
- Work closely with the Culinary Director on menu development, recipe refinement, seasonal features,
- and continuous improvement.
- Assist with recipe costing, standardization, and operational efficiencies.
- Support the successful opening of the restaurant and contribute to its long-term success.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef, or Senior Sous Chef.
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and fresh, scratch cooking.
- Restaurant opening experience is considered an asset.
- Proven success managing food cost, labor cost, inventory, and kitchen operations.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Food Safe certification required.

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary of $60,000–$75,000, based on experience.
