Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food preparation and safety standards, and ensuring smooth restaurant management. Candidates with backgrounds in food industry roles such as hotel, restaurant, or barista experience are encouraged to apply. The Food Service Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining high-quality service and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food service operations, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality and consistency
- Manage POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Lead, train, and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service
- Interview and onboard new staff members, supporting team management and development
- Coordinate restaurant activities to optimize workflow and customer satisfaction
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance guest experience
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed according to safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within the food service or hospitality industry
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
- Experience with restaurant management systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Knowledge of food handling regulations, customer service excellence, and hospitality standards
- Prior experience in hotel or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Background in barista services or serving roles is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with experience in interviewing and team development
