A leading Canadian engineering consulting firm is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join its growing Structural team. The firm provides multidisciplinary services across structural engineering, restoration, capital planning, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, accessibility, and energy optimization, with a strong focus on collaboration and technical excellence.
You will work on institutional, commercial, and residential projects, including both new builds and existing building assessments.
Key Responsibilities

Design and analyze structural systems for new builds, renovations, and restoration projects

Conduct assessments of existing buildings and develop engineering solutions

Prepare structural calculations, reports, specifications, and construction documents

Conduct site reviews and provide construction-phase support

Collaborate with architects, contractors, clients, and internal teams

Support project planning, budgeting, and delivery

Participate in client meetings and maintain strong client relationships

Mentor junior staff as needed
What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural focus)

2–5+ years of structural design experience in consulting

Experience with institutional, commercial, or residential buildings
-
Strong knowledge of structural design principles, materials, and codes

Proficiency with ETABS, S-Frame, spSlab (or similar) and AutoCAD/Revit
-
Valid driver’s license and access to transportation
-
P.Eng. (or working toward / eligible for registration with PEO, EGBC, APEGA, or equivalent)
