Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Medical Secretary. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently in private office to coordinate physician's schedule, book patient appointments, book patient surgical procedures and answer patient calls. The candidate must have strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to multitask, effective and efficient telephone skills and strong computer skills.
Responsibilities
· Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
· Booking surgical procedures and coordinate/instruct patients
· Meet booking deadlines
· Answer phone calls, take messages, and triage calls as appropriate
· Maintain patient records and confidentiality
· Handle medical paperwork and documentation accurately
· Assist with administrative tasks
· Manage email
Experience
· Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred
· Proficiency with medical software like Epic is a plus
· Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
· Familiarity with phone systems and office equipment
· Effective and efficient telephone skills with patients
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· Good problem solving skills
· Strong computer skills
· Must be able to work independently to provide off-site administrative support.
Hours
· Looking for 5 days per week, 4 hours per day in Hamilton private office
· Potential addition of 1 evening, 4 hours plus one weekend day, 7 hours in Burlington private office
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
