Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery trucks and commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary.
- Ensure accurate delivery of products while adhering to schedules and routes.
- Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs and report any issues promptly.
- Assist with freight handling, including loading, securing, and unloading cargo efficiently.
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including receipts and delivery logs.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when required to ensure vehicle functionality.
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial driving or delivery services is preferred.
- Knowledge of forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus.
- Familiarity with freight logistics and cargo management is advantageous.
- Basic automotive repair skills are beneficial for vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Experience operating large vehicles or trucks is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently is an asset.
