Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences, possess strong customer service skills, and be knowledgeable about food and beverage service standards. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timely service
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions, special requests, and concerns promptly
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices
- Ability to perform basic math for billing, tips, and cash handling accurately
- Experience with food industry standards including serving, upselling, and guest services
- Kitchen experience or familiarity with food preparation is beneficial but not required
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
