Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Civil Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting land surveys, collecting data, and utilizing advanced mapping and GIS tools to support construction and development projects. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring precision, technical expertise, and strong data management skills. The Surveyor will play a vital part in ensuring accurate measurements and spatial data for project planning and execution.
Duties
- Conduct civil work out layout including road and pipe grades
- Collect, analyze, and manage spatial data to support construction, engineering, or environmental projects.
- Assist in the development of topographic maps, boundary surveys, and site layouts.
- Maintain accurate records of survey data within databases and data management systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure survey data aligns with project specifications.
- Perform field inspections to verify existing site conditions and update survey information as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations during all surveying activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience with construction surveying or related fieldwork is preferred.
- Strong understanding of data collection techniques and data management practices.
- Familiarity with databases used for storing survey information.
- Knowledge of construction processes and site planning is a plus.
- Ability to operate surveying equipment accurately in various field conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage complex spatial data effectively.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in surveying are desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to work both independently in the field and collaboratively within a team environment.
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
