Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our construction management team. This role involves executing high-quality painting work on various construction projects while supporting project coordination and oversight. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, experience in construction environments, and familiarity with industry-standard software tools. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects, ensuring quality standards are met and deadlines are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting
- Apply paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and attention to detail
- Follow project specifications, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate application of finishes
- Assist in reviewing project plans and schematics to support project planning and execution
- Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Support quality control processes by inspecting work for consistency and adherence to safety protocols
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly store tools and materials
- Use construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, or Primavera P6 for documentation and communication purposes
Requirements
- Proven experience in painting within construction or industrial environments
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating processes
- Supervising experience on construction sites is preferred
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project plans
- Construction experience with an understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and project coordination is advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
