Overview:
We are currently hiring motivated, positive and dependable Arborists to join our team of Resource Professionals in the Forestry Department. This position could be based out of North Vancouver, Squamish or Chilliwack office.

Job Responsibilities:
This position offers a combination of field and office work, and its responsibilities will generally include:

Preparing Arborist reports
-
Performing tree inventories and risk assessments
-
Identifying and monitoring tree pests, diseases, and potential hazards.

Acting as a crew lead on field duties
-
Supporting the forestry team on various tasks as required.
Qualifications:
-
A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in urban forestry.

Experience with utility rights-of-way and operating chainsaws is considered an asset.

ISA Arborist certification is required.

Tree Risk Assessment Qualification or Wildlife Danger Tree Assessor are desirable.

Utility Arborist Certification is required.

Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driving License with experience driving 4x4 trucks and ATVs.

Physically fit and able to work outdoors; willing to work in demanding conditions.
Compensation:

The hourly range is between $30-$36, commensurate with experience.
