Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, along with strong communication and time management skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cashiering duties
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in setting up tables, cleaning dining areas, and maintaining a tidy environment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Provide guest services by addressing questions or concerns professionally and courteously
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred; restaurant experience is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle cash handling and basic math accurately
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and serving techniques is beneficial
- Flexibility to work during peak hours including weekends and holidays as needed
