Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food handling and safety practices, along with experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or food service environment. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining the kitchen's cleanliness and organization.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, meal preparation, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
