Our client, is seeking an experienced Project Governance Consultant ( Policy Advisor/Project Manager)to support two high-visibility initiatives: the Cost of Payments Study and the Cash System Governance project. This is a non-IT project management role reporting to the Director, Currency Policy and Research.
What you'll do:
- Establish, implement, and maintain fit-for-purpose project governance and delivery structures across both initiatives
- Build and monitor project workplans — timelines, dependencies, and risks — in collaboration with project teams
- Manage scope and deliverable changes through documented, reviewed governance processes
- Coordinate across multiple internal stakeholders and partner areas to align on objectives, deliverables, and expectations
- Support senior-level governance forums and briefings — prepping materials, tracking decisions and action items, driving follow-up
- Administer project governance arrangements, delivery planning, and execution controls across both projects
What you bring:
- University degree or college diploma in policy, public administration, economics, business, or related field
- 5+ years managing non-IT projects, including complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with evolving scope
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement project governance structures from the ground up
- Strong judgment identifying, prioritizing, and escalating risks and issues
- Track record building credible relationships with senior subject-matter experts and stakeholders
- Experience working across research, policy, operations, technology, and external stakeholder groups
- Proven experience stabilizing and recovering in-flight projects — closing governance gaps, resolving issues, realigning stakeholders
Nice to have:
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or other recognized PM certification
Pay: $110.00-$125.00 per hour
