Job Details:
Position Title: Part-Time Professor - Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technique/Technician/Technology
Status: Contract on a semester-by-semester basis
Faculty/Department: Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology
Campus/Location: 110 Carrier Drive and North Campus
Salary: Academic starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience as detailed in the collective agreement for academic employees.
About the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology at Humber:

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be required to teach courses in the School of Engineering programs within the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology.
You will be responsible for preparing and delivering course materials based on learning outcomes that are supplied to you for specific courses. You will also administer assessments in a timely fashion and submit grades. The incumbent will teach, develop curriculum, design/revise specific courses, create an effective and innovative learning environment for our students, assess student progress and achievement; work collaboratively with colleagues, participate in committees and related associations.

The successful candidate will have one of the following qualifications:
Experience/Skills
The successful candidate must have polytechnic post-secondary teaching experience, or equivalent experience as a trainer in industry. In addition, the successful candidate will have engaging and effective teaching skills, demonstrated ability to coach and support students, demonstrated experience managing classroom dynamics, strong knowledge and application of current pedagogical principles, a student-focused approach and a demonstrated commitment to fostering innovation and positive change. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of principles of equity and inclusion, be a collaborative team player and be committed to a positive team culture. The successful candidate will possess well developed interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills and have demonstrated ability to contribute positively to curriculum development and delivery.
