Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Site Assistant to join our vibrant team! In this vital role, you will support the daily operations.
Roles & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Carry out assigned projects and tasks as required at a site level.
- Be able to confidently and competently use and maintain site machinery, and power tools, as required in the course of the duties being performed.
- Operation of site machinery as necessary. (Telehandler & Skid Steer)
- General maintenance of site, including perimeter fencing.
- Assist site superintendent with general site activities as required.
- Assist and carry out dewatering activities.
- Assist with offloading and distribution as necessary.
- Traffic control duties as required.
- Assist with hoisting of materials as required.
- Coordinate waste management with site superintendent.
- Assist site superintendent with general site cleanliness.
- Assist Site superintendent with QA / QC process.
- Install backing for cabinets, handrails, accessories as necessary.
- Carry out general carpentry works, such as installing handrails, building curbs and upstands, forming of housekeeping pads, etc.
- Assist with minor concrete work as necessary
- Carry out all work in accordance with all current relevant OH & S requirements.
- Assist with hoarding and heating as directed by the site superintendent.
- Be aware of budget at a site level and implement and maintain cost control efforts / measures, such as, monitoring labour hours, material usage/waste, subcontractor costs, etc.
- Ensure plant and equipment log is maintained on site.
- Ensure any plant and equipment is fueled and maintained as required.
- Assist with maintaining of the site and office in an organized, clean and tidy condition. This includes any adjacent sidewalks, etc. that fall under our responsibility.
- Assist the Site Superintendent with the directing, supervision and working with our own, and temporary labour forces.
- Assist in ensuring all trades carry out their respective works in the most efficient and expeditious and professional manner.
- Assist in ensuring the site meets all Slokker Homes safety policies and OH & S requirements.
- Assist in ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with all Slokker Homes safety policies and OH & S requirements.
- Assist in ensuring that all works are carried out and completed to Slokker Homes quality standards.
- Prepare and submit daily records / documentation as required.
- Any other duties as may be required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Application question(s):
- Must be certified to operate a skid steer and telehandler.
- Must have carpentry experience (back framing, hoardings, security railings, etc.)
- High Rise Construction experience considered an asset.
