JT Equipment is growing and if your values line up with ours then we want you to know that we are currently looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Shop Technician to join our Team.
Position Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Technician works with our Shop Manager to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment to help ensure optimal equipment performance for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Shop Technician is responsible for completing quality repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of equipment.
- Completing Preventative maintenance services as set out by our checklists and identifying possible failures before they lead to downtime.
- Completing equipment diagnostics and competently communicate issues with customers and Management.
- Maintain a professional, clean, and organized work environment at all times.
- Follow all company safety policies and practices.
- Additional tasks as related to the position from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- 3rd,4th, or Journeyman H.E.T technicians only will be considered.
- 5 Years minimum construction equipment experience.
- Have a complete set of hand and air tools, specialty diagnostic equipment and large tools will be supplied.
- Physically fit and able to meet the demands of heavy equipment field repairs.
- Dealership experience and training considered an asset.
- Proficient in equipment, Hydraulic, and Electrical diagnostics.
- Able to read and apply electrical and Hydraulic schematics to assist in diagnostics.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
