Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and the use of various hand and power tools. The Plumber will ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes, providing reliable service to our clients. Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to plan projects effectively
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools to complete installations and repairs
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to ensure efficient workflow
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Collaborate with construction teams on projects involving carpentry, HVAC systems, or other related trades
- Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Assist in assembly of plumbing components and related systems as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment and document work performed accurately
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, or maintenance
- Mechanical knowledge of plumbing systems, schematics, and blueprint reading
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation
- Knowledge of carpentry, HVAC systems, construction practices, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to perform some heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Experience with commercial driving and a clean driving record
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
