Looking for a part-time Medical Assistant to work for a Physician in Newmarket.
This position is ideal for an individual who wants an opportunity to gain experience in a healthcare environment, and who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The position places a significant emphasis on a pleasant bedside manner, as the patients see the Physician for chronic pain management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performing tasks related to patient intake (e.g., blood pressure measurement)
- Record and document management (e.g., updating patient charts and OHIP billing)
- Resetting/restocking an exam room after each patient
- Chaperoning for assessments
- Assisting the Physician with general tasks where necessary
- Experience using Accuro and Oscar would be an asset
Pay range:
$20.00 to $23.00 an hour
Hours:
Required to work every Thursday from 9:30am to 5:00pm (clinical work is generally complete around 3:00pm, but charting will be ongoing after the Physician leaves).
Preferred Start Date: June 2025
Additional Information: There is some flexibility in the days worked - you may choose to coordinate your schedule with the Physician's other part-time Medical Assistants that work in clinics based in Missisauga and North York to work additional hours.
