Reporting to Director Global Sales Coal, the Customer Service Representative is the initial point of contact for global customers placing orders and scheduling berth availability with the organization.

Responsibilities:

Working with customers on sales orders, quarterly shipping schedules and berth availability
Ensure customer inquiries are responded to within the contracted timeframe
Escalation of customer inquiries
Coordinate customer feedback
Executing & coordinating of customer sales contracts
Coordinating orders with internal rail and port representatives
Interacting with company marketing managers, maintaining and updating the order database and the scheduling of export shipments
Seek guidance from Marketing representatives on how to handle customer inquiries and shipment updates
Administrative customer account management (e.g. filing, mail distribution, coordination of meetings and preparing written customer related documents)
Proactively informing customers, Marketing, Logistics, and Operations of changes in plan / expectations
Analyze and share trending customer issues and opportunities with broader team to collectively resolve
Other responsibilities as required or as assigned

Qualifications:

Applicants should have a diploma in Business Administration (particularly with concentration in Supply Chain Management or Logistics), or be working towards a Commerce degree or related post-secondary education
CITT designation considered an asset
3-year minimum work related experience is required
Proven customer-centric competencies and experiences
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong focus on English grammar.
Excellent interpersonal skills both proactive communication and de-escalation of issues
Proven competence with MS applications particularly Word and Excel, excellent service and interpersonal skills and superior organizational abilities are required
Attention to detail, time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines are critical
Continue to learn and stay informed of product or shipment changes and delays, communicate issues and opportunities with the greater team
Must be able to work effectively as a member of a team

Salary Range: $64,000 - $79,000

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
