Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Take-out Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, handle food orders accurately, and ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for all customers. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of hospitality and ensuring customer satisfaction during the take-out process. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, but we value strong communication skills and a positive attitude above all. The Take-out Cashier will be responsible for managing transactions, assisting guests with their orders, and supporting the overall operation of the restaurant’s take-out service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with their take-out orders in a professional manner
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments efficiently and securely
- Provide excellent guest services by answering questions about menu items and order details
- Ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly to customers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station and surrounding area
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and timely service
- Uphold hospitality standards by demonstrating courteous phone etiquette when taking orders over the phone
- Assist with maintaining inventory levels of supplies needed at the cashier station
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
- Strong guest service skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction
- Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and phone etiquette
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior hotel or hospitality experience can be advantageous but is not mandatory
- must speak French
- Must have good penmanship as everything is hand written
