Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Facilitate engaging activities that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and independence among children.
- Provide attentive caregiving by meeting individual needs and ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, through tailored strategies and inclusive practices.
- Observe and document each child's progress to inform ongoing teaching strategies and communicate effectively with families.
- Maintain adherence to licensing standards and health & safety regulations to ensure a secure learning space.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and community partners to promote a collaborative atmosphere.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings.
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and development milestones.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Classroom experience demonstrating the ability to manage activities and behavior effectively.
- Excellent teaching skills combined with patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for child development.
- Relevant certifications in early childhood education or caregiving are preferred; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and abilities.
