Job Summary
The ACM / ACP Production Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day manufacturing of aluminum composite panels used in architectural cladding systems. This role combines hands-on assembly with team leadership, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.
You will lead a team of builders, coordinate workflow, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure all work is completed efficiently and to specification. The ideal candidate brings strong technical manufacturing experience along with the ability to guide and support a production team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support the ACM/ACP production team to meet daily goals.
- Construct and assemble aluminum composite panels according to shop drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and architectural drawings.
- Plan workflow, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
- Train and mentor team members on assembly techniques, safety, and quality standards.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure finished products meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Operate and oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, CNC routers, saws, and bending equipment.
- Ensure proper handling, packaging, and protection of finished panels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., metal trim line, installation, logistics) as needed.
- Perform other related duties to support production requirements.
Requirements / Skills
- Proven experience in ACM / ACP panel manufacturing or architectural metal/cladding assembly.
- Previous team lead, supervisory, or senior builder experience preferred.
- Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
- Hands-on experience with production tools and machinery (CNC, saws, brakes, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and manage priorities.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and best practices.
