Heavy Commercial Tire Technician

About the Role
Macro Truck Sales is seeking an experienced Heavy Commercial Tire Technician with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience servicing heavy commercial trucks and trailers. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Mississauga facility. You will be a key part of our shop team, keeping commercial fleets on the road safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires on heavy commercial trucks, trailers, and multi-axle vehicles• Perform flat repairs, valve stem replacements, and wheel seal inspections• Inspect tire wear patterns and advise on rotation, alignment, and replacement needs• Conduct wheel-off and wheel-on service for drive axles, steer axles, and trailer axles• Complete pre-trip and safety inspections related to tire and wheel condition• Maintain accurate service records and work orders• Operate tire changing machines, torque wrenches, and air tools safely• Provide clear communication with customers regarding tire condition and recommended service
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a tire technician on heavy commercial trucks and trailers (required)• Proficiency with commercial tire service equipment and hand tools• Working knowledge of dual-wheel configurations, super-single tires, and rim types used on Class 7–8 vehicles• Ability to safely handle and mount large commercial tires• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards• Valid driver's licence (AZ licence is an asset)• Reliable, team-focused work ethic with good communication skills
Note: Formal certification (310T) is an asset but not required. Experience and demonstrated skill are the priority for this role.
Compensation & Benefits
- $38.00–$46.00/hour based on experience• Performance bonuses• Overtime available — minimum 44 hours/week• Permanent, full-time employment
