Department Security & Surveillance
Reports To Security & Surveillance Manager
Position Summary:
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Casino Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our patrons, staff, and property. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong observational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment within our casino premises. This role involves monitoring activities through surveillance systems, preventing loss, and responding promptly to any incidents or emergencies.
Key Accountabilities:
- Welcomes guests.
- Protect guests, employees, volunteers, and facility assets in assigned areas.
- Enforces all house policies and AGLC Terms and Conditions
- Enforces restriction of minors, liquor provisions, and service.
- Manages crowd control.
- Provides assistance gaming employees in monitoring suspicious activities.
- Records activities in Security Log; writes discrepancy reports.
- Reports on all incidents to the Security/Surveillance Manager
- Responds and resolves issues and escalates as required.
- Manage other initiatives or duties as required.
Education and Qualification Requirements:
- Grade 10 education or suitable combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
- Computer literacy in MS Office
- Minimum 1 years of security experience preferred: ASIP an asset; First Aid level 1 or 2.
- Experience in casino gaming disciplines, CCTV equipment and monitoring systems preferred, hotel security experience.
- AGLC’s; Anti-Money Laundering, ProTect, ProServe, Deal Us In – Phase 1 & 2
- First Nations experience an asset.
- Other languages an asset
- Criminal Record Clearance mandatory
Work Environment Considerations
Regular work environment, non-traditional work hours, standing and walking for extended periods of time. Compliance with all security, safety, gaming, and regulatory requirements is essential.

Licensing or Certification Requirements
For positions that require special certification, the appropriate level of certification will be maintained. This position requires AGLC Registration and must maintain a valid AGLC license.
Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
