Job Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk
Job Summary: Our client in the transportation/logistics industry is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team in Burlington. This is a fully on-site, full-time permanent opportunity for a seasoned Accounts Receivable professional with a strong background in the transportation/logistics industry. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of 8 years of A/R experience, along with hands-on expertise in QuickBooks and transportation-specific billing systems.

You will play a key role in ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and strong collaboration with internal teams to support overall business operations.

Shift Structure: Monday to Friday; Day Shift
Compensation Structure: $27.00-$30.00/hour (or more depending on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, cash application, and account reconciliation
- Generate and process accurate customer invoices using QuickBooks and transportation-specific billing systems
- Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collections
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and customer inquiries
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure billing accuracy and alignment with services provided
- Maintain detailed and organized records of all customer transactions and communications
- Prepare regular A/R reports and provide insights on account status and collection trends
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contracts, and transportation industry billing practices
Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in full cycle accounting with a focus on Accounts Receivable, with strong knowledge of full-cycle A/R processes
- Proven experience in the transportation/logistics industry in an accounting-related role (required)

- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and transportation-specific billing or freight management systems
- Strong understanding of invoicing structures related to freight, shipping, and logistics services
- Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Effective communication and negotiation skills for collections and client interactions
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools
