Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in field service and equipment repair, with a focus on maintaining and troubleshooting various systems. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with hand tools, as well as experience in computer hardware and networking. The Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment, including ohmmeters, to troubleshoot issues
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and functionalities
- Provide field service support, responding to customer needs in a timely manner
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical problems
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used
- Assist in the installation of low voltage systems and components
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to repair various types of equipment
- Familiarity with computer hardware and networking concepts
- Experience working with schematics and technical documentation
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
