Job Summary
A Turkish-speaking Personal Support Worker (PSW) is required to provide in-home support for a client requiring assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
PSW support is recommended to assist with personal care, daily routines, and promoting safety and independence following bilateral finger amputations.
Fluency in Turkish is required, as the client does not understand English. The PSW will assist with communication, personal care needs, and daily activities while providing respectful, client-centred support.
Duties may include:
- Assistance with personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Support with dressing, grooming, bathing, and hygiene routines as required
- Assistance with meal preparation and household tasks
- Support with communication and understanding care instructions
- Encouragement of independence and safe participation in daily activities
- Reporting changes in the client’s condition, needs, or concerns to the appropriate care team
Qualifications:
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or equivalent experience
- Fluent Turkish language skills required
- Experience supporting clients with physical disabilities, amputations, mobility limitations, or complex care needs is an asset
- Compassionate, respectful, and culturally sensitive approach
- Ability to provide client-centred care while maintaining dignity and privacy
Schedule
Full-time schedule.
