Summary
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Carver’s Steakhouse and Lounge. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is passionate about hospitality, guest service, and team development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure service excellence throughout the evening, supporting and guiding the team as necessary. You will act as the room’s wine expert as a Sommelier, lending support to the servers and providing your expertise to the guests as required.
Compensation: $20.00–$22.50 per hour, with additional tip earnings.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Carver’s Manager in daily restaurant and lounge operations
- Lead and supervise front-of-house staff during service
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences and promptly resolve concerns
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching team members
- Maintain high standards for food quality, service, cleanliness, and atmosphere
- Monitor inventory, cash handling, and end-of-shift reports
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
- Assist with payroll and tip outs
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and service standards
- Help cover shifts where necessary
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Previous serving experience and leadership experience are assets. SIRS certificate required.
