Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and team members
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to promote a collaborative community
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and learning materials
- Follow all safety protocols and licensing regulations to ensure the well-being of all children
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families and team members
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children
- Certification in early childhood education or related field preferred but not required; relevant training or coursework is advantageous
- Ability to pass background checks and adhere to all safety standards
