Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and vehicle inspections.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment.
- Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and exhaust systems.
- Perform tune-ups and preventive maintenance.
- Repair and service cooling systems, radiators, water pumps, and thermostats.
- Inspect, repair, and replace batteries, starters, alternators, and other electrical components.
- Perform wheel alignments and suspension repairs.
- Repair air conditioning (A/C) and heating systems.
- Replace timing belts, drive belts, spark plugs, filters, and other wear-and-tear components.
- Test drive vehicles to identify problems and verify repairs.
- Keep accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate with customers or service advisors regarding vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle problems.
- Experience working with domestic and imported vehicles is an asset.
- Ability to use diagnostic scanners and repair tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Punctual, dependable, and committed to high-quality work.
