Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting data. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles. The Bookkeeper will play a vital role in supporting our financial operations and providing insights through account analysis and reconciliation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
- Perform bank reconciliations to verify accuracy of financial data
- Conduct account reconciliations and account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting tasks
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
- Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and revenues against forecasts
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Collaborate with auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with familiarity using accounting software
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
- Experience with payroll processing is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to perform account analysis and identify discrepancies effectively
- Proficiency in using accounting software for data entry, reporting, and reconciliation tasks
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and external auditors
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
